The indie thing is a struggle because you're basically reaching out with your own money and trying to make connections. There isn't a label to really push your song on radio. You kinda make your own sound that you have always wanted.. push it out and maybe do some decent numbers so then you can take to the label and say "look I did this much on my own" certain ones know what's impressive for going at it alone.

Look back to things like Rasheeda's meetings on Love & Hip Hop or Olivia's when she released December and the label told her those numbers weren't good enough.
