Nothin On You should be on the list though. It peaked at 152M AI.

Thanx Damien, but why is not Nothin on you included by BB?

Rihanna featuring Drake - " What's My Name?" - 139.5 million in its 2nd week at #1 on Radio Songs
Probably peaked somewhere in the high 140's/low 150's similar to JTWYA.

Why is it much harder for current songs to reach those peaks in the top ten? Was Nielsen inflated back in those days? Have they removed stations from some panels?

If I recall correctly, the Rhythmic panels were much bigger back then, almost equaling Pop, probably bigger. That panel naturally is more likely to pick up hip-hop/R&B songs over rock-leaning songs, so it puts the latter at an innate disadvantage. That's why songs like Green Day's BoBD and pretty much every single from the album Breakaway (SUBG especially) kinda got screwed.
Read through this thread if you have the time. I'm sure there are some posts there where you can see how much audience impressions a #1 song on Pop, a #1 song on Urban, and a #1 song on Rhythmic averaged at. If I remember correctly they were just about the same.

they over inflated the Urban and Rhythmic audiences
Notice how all those songs lean towards those sounds

Where's "Don't Forget About Us"? And "Shake it Off" both were over 200 million on media base.

So IKYWT must be close to 150M?

What's My Name didnt go to #1 on Pop radio either. It peaked around #4 I believe so it definitely lost out on a good number of impressions for this kind of list
Anyone know how much BOBD peaked at? I know Highwind mentioned it got screwed and it did, but it still did go to #1 on 6 formats I believe. Granted those were rock formats and smaller AI, and smaller overall AI back then, but I'm curious what topping all the rock related formats and pop gets you

Taylor Swift - " I Knew You Were Trouble" - 135 million
I literally combed through Hot 100 articles from early 2010 and took down a lot of notes so I'm just gonna post the numbers that I have later on when I get to it. Hopefully, ATRL's flop server doesn't make it difficult for me to do so.
I'm also going to try to reach out to the 00's decade to see if Hot 100 articles mention radio impressions as well, but if I don't see a lot of them, I'm just gonna look for the big radio songs (like Live Your Life, Single Ladies, Boom Boom Pow, etc.)

Not true... It was at 161m or so... If you wanna do such a Thread, back up your claims.
(I know, I haven't a source either, but I remember it reaching 160m~ AI on BDS reported by Billboard).
We Found Love reached 154m AI on Nielsen BDS.

How about you follow your advice and back up your claims? I did. I posted a link to the article that showed that What's My Name? had 139.5 million impressions. Until I find a different article from just as reliable of a source that states a higher figure, that's what I'm sticking with because I like to have a source. Your pathetic attempts at clocking are not welcome here so get to stepping.
By the way, here is your 161M. The thread title clearly states Mediabase, and like I already mentioned in the first post:

For those that do not know, the figures listed here are radio audiences according to Nielsen Broadcasting Data Systems, the same figures used by Billboard for determining rankings on Radio Songs/Hot 100 Airplay and the Hot 100 itself. These numbers aren't to be confused with the airplay numbers we usually get in the US Airplay Discussion Thread which are from Mediabase. I mention this so we can avoid the "this list is wrong WBT had 250M+" or "Irreplaceable/No One both hit 200M+" posts.

That article says Single Ladies had 147.3 million though, and was 350k ahead, putting LYL at a rounded up 147 million. My guess is LYL peaked much higher than that because it was #1 for 8 weeks before that week.

Found it:
1. 254,000,000 - We Belong Together (record holder)
2. 201,000,000 - Shake It Off
3. 185,000,000 - Don't Forget About Us

As promised, I'm reading through Hot 100 articles for 2009. I'm at March so far and oh.my.god there's absolutely no info on airplay numbers. Plus, there are weeks when I couldn't find ANY article about the chart AT ALL!
Things have really changed since Gary Trust started writing the weekly articles for the chart. He always gave relevant airplay/streaming info, and is a lot more transparent about chart points.

that's why I stopped looking
The articles didn't really get detailed until 2010 and above.
Another suggestion would be to contact Ask Billboard and see if they'll provide, like, a list of the top 20 highest airplay peaks in BDS history. Not sure how long they'll take to respond, though

Yeah, I have been thinking that an Ask Billboard about airplay will probably get some attention with Robin heading into the Top 10 in a few weeks time.
