If you asked legendary Aussie fast bowlers like Lillee, McGrath, Thompson and Hughes if they preferred Lady Gaga or Led Zeppelin, chances are you'd be asked, "Lady who?"
But the modern Australian fast bowler is a different beast altogether, as is proved by the videos attached to this story.
These Gen-Y cricketers have million dollar salaries, hipster haircuts, and apparently a penchant for an overtly sexual pop artist admired by teenage girls the world over.
Before the Ashes squad flew to England to try steal the urn back from England, we asked them a few simple questions, including their favourite Ashes memory, who the biggest pest on tour is, and simply 'Led Zeppelin or Lady Gaga?'.
The answers we got were surprising to say the least.
The two men who seem to most represent the 'old school' in Australia's youthful line-up, Ryan Harris and Peter Siddle, unashamedly opted for Gaga over Zeppelin.
"She puts on a good show," according to Siddle.
We'll take your word for it, Pete.
But that pair wasn't alone, with fellow fast bowlers James Pattinson and Patrick Cummins, and batsman Phil Hughes also picking the 27-year-old American songstress over the legendary British rockers.
It was left to the more low-key players in the side like Usman Khawaja, Nathan Lyon and Mitchell Starc to try regain some respectability.
Khawaja's answer in particular would have brought a smile to the face of Fox Sports commentator Damien Fleming, who was the unofficial chief of music during his time in the national side.
"How can they go past Black Dog, Stairway to Heaven?" Khawaja asked.
Good question.
