In your case, being 17, I'd say Grindr would be the obvious 1st option.
You might also utilize the online "hook-up" sites, be but warned with both those sites & Grindr, people are primarily looking for a F+ck. Still, if you're persistent, you can make a friend or two.
Another option that might have better results would be to (somehow) meet a gay person from a public school. Maybe crash one of their Gay student union meetings (most schools have such a group) and introduce yourself. You'll find a group of likely "out" gays's, and they'll love you for being such a badass in an attempt to break free lol. And once you connect with just one, you'll have access to their entire crew!
The last option I can think of is to obtain a fake ID and hit up the clubs and bars.
I'm sure there's many more options as well. Google "find gay friends too young club" or something.
Oh yeah, look into the Law of Attraction. Stay optimistic & believe that you will find your gay friends, and it'll happen faster than you think. It worked like magic for me!
