Which one of these Windows 8 Phones do you prefer?

I'm thinking of buying a 920 next week. Does anyone have it here, and if so how are you liking it?

The 920 is superior is every plus it's cheaper than the 8x too. You'll get all of those Nokia built-in apps and you will be able to have those exclusive apps in the Marketplace. I have an iPhone but I wish I have a Lumia 920.

the lumia wins by far. the camera itself is a dream.
That along with the exclusice nokia apps makes it a better choice. plus the phone is beautifull i'm so happy with mine.

The phone is AMAZING i couldn't be more satisfied with it. the camera is just flawless i even stopèd using my DSLR and windows 8 interface is divine the battery life is also remarkable. i highly recommend you to buy it it's also attention grabing lol i got the red one and everyone is all the time asking me anout it.

There's no reason to buy a Windows Phone that is not a Nokia. Nokia is better than the competition since it focuses on Windows Phone alone. But if you're really after the best, then you should get the latest 925 or 928. They're slimmer versions of the 920 with better camera/flash and screen. Or wait a liittle while until the EOS with 41MP Pureview camera is released.

This is not even a question, of course Lumia 920, but you better wait for Lumia EOS, or get Lumia 925

What's the app-store like for Windows OS? I'm used to the App Store for iOS, and of course it has the largest number of apps, but I really only care for a couple of them.

I have the 920 in white. Such a beautiful phone. Camera blows me away. No regrets switching to Windows phone.

You start to realize how ****** everyone else's camera phone is when you start posting your pictures on Facebook. Everyone's photos are so grainy. I love being able to fix my photos with the Nokia software. The photos are slightly oversaturated sometimes but who cares when you can fix that in two seconds by editing the photo on your phone with the preloaded software? Plus - Smart Shoot let's you erase things in the background of photos, and that's a Nokia exclusive. And Blink (burst mode, kind of) lets you make gifs (I'm not talking about Cinemagraph - same idea though)(ok and Blink is also a Microsoft product, not Nokia, but our camera can take advantage of it better). Plus - optical stabilization is only available on the 920. You really notice it when taking videos.

It is the gift that keeps giving!! POSSIBLY BY NEXT WEEK we`ll have a new update that gives us the same features as the new 928 (end of summer, latest). Upgrades 800 ISO to 3200 - let`s see the HTC 8x get that, haah. They'll get the rest of the updates though I think, like notification light/FM Radio support/Data Sense/maybe Smart camera?

The HTC 8x is cute though. They have the same specs/OS, so it pretty much comes down to build and the camera. The HTC may have a nicer build, in that it's lighter... but I'm a girl and that means nothing to me because I have something called a purse. although it really hurts when you drop it on your face while lying in bed

There's over 100 000 apps in the Windows 8 phone store. I've got all the apps I want, what are your favourite apps that you can't live without? You are guaranteed disappointment if you have an app you really need that isn't available on this OS. So if you ever decide to give WP8 a shot, gotta make sure the essentials are already available .

Some apps have different names - like Instagram is called "Instance" but has the same functionality (well, no video, but they've already announced that update is coming soon since it was just released). Snapchat = Swapchat... etc.

The official Facebook app is kind of sketchy, but the update should be coming soon. Whatsapp/Viber/Kik messenger/Skype/LinkedIn/Tumblr/Omeagle/Foursquare/Voxer/Vine/Gchat are all available too...

Some really cute games are available (because of Microsoft's Xbox) like Brain cube, Wordament, Alphajax etc. HALO is available on Windows Phone starting this month

There was no Youtube app for a bit I think, because microsoft's youtube app would let you download videos straight from youtube.... Google didn't like that very much.

The Marketplace is about to hit 200K apps. Of course not all iOS apps are available on WP but they have really cool alternatives.

The only app I NEED is Spotify. I'd like to have a Spades game with an online multiplayer variation but I don't need it...just really want it.

Nokia phones are very attractive yet I'd be missing some obscure apps I really need. One is only available for Android.

I have a Lumia 720 but I'm upgrading to 920 in August. I want a blue or green one.

Windows Phones in general are great though. Best phone I've ever had, tbh.

Google is already working on the official app in response to Microsoft's complaint about not accessing the APIs to include the ads in the app they made, so now YouTube will be covered as well.

To answer the OP, I prefer the Lumia 920 by miles. Nokia provides the best support for Windows Phone, sometimes even better than Microsoft themselves, their software truly enhances the OS experience. They also make the best hardware, I've seen photos taken by the Lumia 920 and they're on a completely different level compared to iPhones, Galaxys and other Windows Phones. I don't get how people criticize the weight, for me it's the best part of the phone, when you hold it it feels like the high-end premium device it is. The HTC 8X is good as well, but HTC and Microsoft have basically paid it dust after the Christmas season, they were promoting it a lot and Microsoft paid Nokia dust for the holiday season, and then all of a sudden the phone became non-existent and all the promo went to Nokia.

It really feels awesome, I have the Lumia 710 and it looks so colorful and so alive with the live tiles, you made a good choice.
