"Día de Enero" was Fijación Oral, Vol. 1's first single. It was only released in Latin America on January 19th, 2006 and later in Spain. The song was written and produced by Shakira. It is about Antonio de la Rúa.
The song was "this" close to make Billboard Hot 100 peaking at #101. Throughout Latin America it was a hit!
Lovely cute little single but shouldn't have been a single when she had "Dia Especial" and "Lo Imprescindible" on the album + "Las de la Intuicion" should have been released earlier ( + never knew it was the first Latin America single )
