But... Why wouldn't they release the Reich & Bleich remix which is 20x better than the Gervais and maintains the haunting beauty of the original masterpiece. Plus the EDM elements are far more current sounding and US radio friendly than the bland eurodance of the Gervais.

Is that why the Reich & Bleich is widely praised as one of the best SS remixes and has over 6M more views than the "official" remix sent to radio?

Does anyone think maybe pop would play the original? Not that I mind the remix but it just seems more suitable for rhythmic.. Either way idc and I hope it smashes either way!

Welp, it didn't get released, isn't the one Top 60 on radio nor selling/pushing the original song + her album so it doesn't matter. And again, it's horrible! It has more "bland eurodance" sound than the officially released mix and sounds terrible when mixing the original with the new production. It actually sounds like they layered that cheap beat over the original song, and didn't have the official stems to produce (hence, unofficial).

Clearly with Get Lucky, Blurred Lines, Radioactive, Can't Hold Us, JGMAR dominating summer airwaves, a more organic music sound is back in trend. Lana first tried to crack the US at the height of the EDM craze. Radio sounds far more diverse than even a year ago. With the right chips falling into place, the original Summertime Sadness should be able to do quite well with a modest uptempo radio edit like the one released for STIUTK.

I don't mind the new remix, I mean it's not like we don't have the official song anyway....
