Anyway to answer the OP:

Yes, Rihanna could handle a Super Bowl performance. She's been performing concerts for a long time now. She's also a huge artist with the support team necessary to pull it off with visuals, effects etc.

Whether what she does on stage is good or not is another question in itself.

She can only really sing certain slow songs very well (Stay,Diamonds,Russian Roulette) but these aren't exactly prominent during a half time show

Well, it seems like there are people (like you) that can have a normal discussion. And I'm sure she could do this, maybe not now, but even Beyonce did it at 31, she's only 25. We don't know how will Rihanna evoluate till then, but I'm sure after she pass this rebellious stage of her life, she will be more dedicate to her work, and not that lazy as she is now.

Ehh, I could see Diamonds working at the Super Bowl. It has that kind of anthemic feel.

True, but if we are comparing her with Beyonce it should be noted that although at 25 Beyonce did not have the same catalogue (she had only 2 solo albums at that point) she could have easily tore down the house with her performing abilities. This was the era of The Beyonce Experience after all.
