Y'all need to stop acting brand nu. Calling someone fat is insulting because in our society, it's a loaded term. Fat isn't your average physical descriptor because it's almost always used to shame someone. Being fat is seen as a moral failure. When people see someone fat, they assume that they are lazy, overindulgent, stupid, unhealthy, this, that, and the other. No one says that about thin people regardless of their eating or exercise habits. That's why the word is insulting and why we have xyz amount of synonyms (full-figured, husky, rubenesque, plus sized, etc.) being used in its place.

It would be insulting to overstate it to a person and constantly reminding its negativity. Nevertheless, the approach is always kind of uncomfortable since besides the appearance, fatness carry health issues.

Whenever someone comes up with that fat = unmotivated bit I laugh.

If fat people are lazy and have no motivation that would mean they couldnt even do their jobs by that logic. What about the skinny people who are lazy?.

Calling someone fat doesnt do the person any good no one cares for your uneeded opinion if not asked and most of the time it isnt asked for.

Its usally never about being truly worried about their health its about trying to make them feel bad about themself.
