They were, but their concept got reworked, they signed to a new label and have Britney's manager backing them up. They just launched shortly before Ooh La La/Vacation came out, so it's not weird you don't really know them

The Paradiso Girls only were supported by her style wise, but developed by Jimmy Lovine.

G.R.L. is a different concept than PCD, their styling is already different, they all sing, and one of them will rap, it's more "fun focused" rather than the whole "sassy but classy" thing that PCD had. Girlicious basically PCD 2.0. since it was more a teenish focused re-creation of PCD, while this new group is having a different approach.

I loved Simone Battle from the first season of The X Factor and so happy she's in this group and I hope they end up being successful!

we'll see, their main influence is the 90's girlgroups though, Robin has said that The Spice Girls were a (big) inspiration for this one. But they have recorded material with different people, so we just have to wait and see
