As some of you know, OWA was one of the albums I worked on late last year and January. The album was essentially PF:RR - the first part was hip-hop, then R&B, then pop and the last three tracks were the most insane dance tracks.
There was major behind-the-scenes conflict, as the UK label wanted the PF:RR-style album and were prepared to co-fund the album in-return for dedicated promo, but the US label felt it was too risky. The end result will be the bastardised album coming out in June, which is going to be half the original album, and a very safe R&B sound.
It is unlikely OWA is being released outside America in any major capacity, so the shelf-life will be quite short. That's a good thing, as a much better album is in-waiting.
