It needs this #1 tomorrow. Get Lucky was rolling this week and next week it will have bigger updates. If CAGI cant get #1 tomorrow, it will get it for sure by monday/twesday but it can't hold the position til next sunday imo.

Tomorrow counts. Monday/Twesday doesn't count towards the Billboard Pop Songs chart if Get Lucky surpasses it until next Sunday. But it will still have a #1 peak on mediabase, just not Billboard.

I'm not sure about it being unable to hold the #1. Let's say tomorrow CHU is on 14,600 spins, C&GI is on 14,400 and GL is on 13,000.

Get Lucky would need to increase by 200 spins a day to catch up with C&GI, and that's not even accounting for how much C&GI will increase itself in that timespan. Although it will be rolling from some subpar updates, I can't see it having huge updates again. Rolling doesn't matter when the song is actually exploding, see Mirrors for example. GL could just be starting to peak.

I was waiting for 300 spins/day from Get Lucky next week again. But it makes sense. Let's wait you're right.

Don't forget there are also a greater chance to get that number 1 on the Billboard chart for tomorrow since their counting is different.

Not by a long shot. Party In The USA was absolutely massive. One of the biggest hits of the 2000's. Only reason it didnt go #1 on the Hot 100 was because it was blocked by I Gotta Feeling which was #1 for 10+ weeks and sold over 7 million copies.

As for how the pop charts were. An official chart is published every Sunday night. It only counts as an official #1 if the song is #1 on that update.
