Sometimes I sit back want the crazy wigs & outfits back, but then I realize that people still seriously think she dresses crazy all the time, and that one crazy outfit in a video or event would set everything back.

The 2011 VMAs were in August, August 28 to be exact. She premiered the Fly video during the pre-show as well. I remember there was a hurricane in NY and I didn't have power during the live show.

I honestly think Nicki or probably any other artist out there is entitled to do whatever they want (dress, act, etc) -- IF their music makes up for it

Like Gaga. She pulled out the weirdest stunts during TF/TFM eras, but her music made up for it. When BTW came out and the music proved to be generate, people couldn't stand for her outrageousness anymore.

Same with Kanye, had his music not been amazing, people would not stand for his asshole ways

I'm pretty sure most people didn't mind Nicki's kooky outfits and wigs as much as when the quality of the music started meeting public disdain (SH/RH performance) I'm just saying, if you can't make crazy outfits/actions to follow with crazy good ass music, people will NAWT have it

People cared, but they didn't mind when she started dressing crazy in the middle of the PF era because they still had PF, which was an amazing album.

It wasn't until the quality started to diminish when they started having a problem.

It was really only stans, or I should say young adults on social media. I remember being on here + the 2011 VMAs was when people started to really start talking **** about her, although Stupid Hoe was the single moment where people on here + the general public said "oh hell no".
