When your parents are old enough to be shipped to an old people's home and you can claim the house as your own.

Only "embrassing" because of society's standards and expectations. As long as you and your family is fine with it then nothing is wrong with it.

I'd move out now if I could. It's a lot of money to do so, so just whenever you're ready.

There really isn't a need to rush to move out of your parent's house, it amazes me how people feel the need to rush out of their home just because they are 18 when they are neither mentally or financially ready in the slightest. Granted this all assumes you have normal parents that will still respect your adulthood and give you some space while under their roof.

Stay with them and save money until you are done with school and have a stable job and some savings to cushion yourself so I'd say for most cases they should be heading out at around 24 or 25 on the late side tops.

I moved out at 15 to study abroad. Took me a while to adjust but now I'm more than okay.
Personally I'll say when you feel you're ready. Don't leave just for the sake of doing so.
