Ya'll remember the martha stewart scandal? She did her time and kinda just hid for a lil while and then came back and everyone just forgot all the bad things she did and was like 'wow martha's back yea now I can have fresh linen again.'

See, if one of these companies were smart and didn't give in to the media pressure, they'd keep their Paula products and make a statement that they "accept her apology." People would come flocking to their stores because they'd be one of the only companies to carry the products.

Especially companies like Walmart where you're basically forced to shop there and you can't not shop there simply because they carry a Paula Deen line. I guess the CEO really hates Miss Paula?

On the contrary.

One really doesn't have to shop at WM especially when there's Target,Kmart, and other hypermarkets out there.

Not to mention the countless chain grocery stores which aren't THAT much higher than Walmart pricewise but that's for another thread.

That being said,I watched the show but haven't brought the products.

I used to work at walmart a few months ago and people would steal a lot of her cookware sets anyway lmao it caused so much shrink that the store I worked at started pulling them from the shelves

The two aren't comparable at all. Martha didn't get into hot water over racist comments and wanting to plan a "Plantation wedding with slaves dressing in white coats and bow ties". Of course she could make a comeback!

Not saying Paula won't comeback from this eventually, but it won't be to the strength of Martha's return.
