Gender is a social construct. Sex is not a social construct. You are attracted to a certain sex because your preferences are biologically attuned to the sexual organs of that individual's sex.

The things that turn me on have absolutely no affect on my views. These are called fetishes. Merriam Webster defines a fetish as: an object or bodily part whose real or fantasied presence is psychologically necessary for sexual gratification and that is an object of fixation to the extent that it may interfere with complete sexual expression. Being attracted to someone's race is fetishizing their race. If I am not sexually attracted to someone of a certain race I am conditioned to find certain traits of that race as aesthetically superior to those of my own, or others.

Not at all. When people say things like that they mean they aren't typically physically attracted to a certain race. It's nothing more then that.

That's your understanding of it, but I feel differently. I think sexual attraction can go beyond just gender, and it's not racist if you're not attracted to all races equally.
