Madonna came under fire in recent months for the usage of guns in her stage performances. The 54-year-old performer incorporated guns into acts of her MDNA tour, angering some critics.
When the issue was first raised last year, a representative for Madonna told HuffPost, "Madonna would rather cancel her show than censor her art," adding, "Her entire career, she has fought against people telling her what she can and cannot do. She's not about to start listening to them now."
With the release of her film “Madonna: The MDNA Tour,” which chronicles her time on tour, Madonna has been forced to comment on her use of the weapons again.
In a weekend interview with "Good Morning America," Madonna defended the choice. Take a look at the video above at the 1:45 mark. "That would be like asking people to not have guns in action movies," Madonna said when asked if she thought about not including the footage with guns in the tour documentary.
"The thing is, guns don't kill people, people kill people," she added.
People choose to use guns to kill others. She's right. There's no point in being this sensitive to what she chose to express in her shows, because gun control won't stop death by guns.
She's been using guns since early in her touring days, so why should she stop now? And its not like violent imaging isn't still around.... shows like CSI are still going strong and haven't changed their ways.
And this has nothing to do with artistic integrity or anything of the sort, the only reason guns are in her show, and the only reason she said this, is just another attempt to be seen as "edgy" and "controversial", when it's just her trying much too hard, once again.

That's why I love this woman. All the success and achievements she has earned during her career are based on her reasonableness and intelligence, she's a TRUE artist.
