I want to know how everyone feels about Rihanna's reluctance to accept that she is indeed a role model. Her recent
retaliation to Liz Jones'
mostly accurate article (minus the "rape is the fault of the victim" part) about Rihanna's influence on her demographic seems to have invited an arrogant and somewhat short-sighted response from the "Poisonous Pop Princess", where she claims that she never wanted to be a role model in the first place.
As a pop star, I think it's time Rihanna grew the f*ck up and accepted that she is influential, and young fans are going to want to emulate and copy what she does, how she dresses and who she sleeps with.
Edit: No replies and it's been reported by some pressed stan, who presumably follows and loves everything Queen Rih does. I am actually looking to invoke a discussion here, not an argument.
