Dummy, did you even read the transcript?

It's not even her saying the Nword. The fact that she wanted to have a "traditional southern style" wedding, with an all black waitstaff serving white guests. To remind her of the good ole days. How is that even justifiable???

And her using the "Well they say it too" Justification to use the Nword is what got her ass in hot water.

In the episode, Stan's dad says the word on national television (I won't say how or why; it's actually really funny how it happens). Stan's friend Token (who's black) is understandably upset with Stan the next day, even when Stan tries to explain that his dad's just an idiot and that he didn't really mean to be racist.

Thing is... the whole time Stan seems to hold the attitude that Token doesn't have the right to be angry, and he gets indignant when Token won't let it go. I remember one scene that took place after Stan's dad (literally) kissed Jesse Jackson's ass to try to earn forgiveness:

Stan: Hey, Token? My dad kissed Jesse Jackson's ass. You can stop being upset now.
Token: No, I can't.
Stan: But Jesse Jackson said that he forgives him!
Token: Jesse Jackson is not the emperor of black people!

This goes on for pretty much the whole episode, until Stan finally gets the point at the end:

"Token, I get it... I don't get it."

By that, he meant that, as a white person, he could never really understand how the n word can make a black person feel, and it was arrogant of him to assume that he could.

It's one of my favorite episodes tbh.

I remember this episode... naggers lol

This really warms my heart

I don't condone anything's she said but I also don't agree with her losing her entire career over it. As humans, we all make mistakes, & for some that's the only way they grow.

Imagine what the world would look like if every one of us was kicked out of school or lost our career over insensitive jokes that we told at one point in our lives or another. Society would crumble, in a single day. I do believe she should have been reprimanded in some way(suspension?), but I feel like the Food Network was too extreme in their action. I hope they lose viewers.
