The spider was an unwitting participant in the on-air drama.
As the presenter crossed to a web-cam view, the projection of the spider dangling on the camera's screen appeared directly above Meteorologist Kristi Gordon's head.
She freaked out.
"Oh my gosh that was creepy," she said as she scampered off screen.
Gordon then attempted to compose herself, only to crack again as the spider began to move.
When asked if she knew the spider wasn't in the room, she said "I am so sorry, you know what it just really creeps me out."
