Hope it's better than the first one. Such an interesting concept that was executed completely wrong.

Can someone give me an interesting synopsis as to what it's about????

Interesting concept that went horribly wrong. I'm not excited for it but I'll probably check it out. I didn't like Paranormal Activity much but was actually pleasantly surprised with 2 and 3 (don't even bring up the abysmal fourth one in my presence) so maybe The Purge can improve. I hope!

Hopefully the sequel follows a new family and a better storyline

Maybe they can focus on the actual Purge and show people fighting for their life on the streets

That movie pissed me off more than anything I've seen in recent memory

The movie wasn't THAT bad. It could've been so much better if it wasn't just centered around one family tho.

Haven't seen it, and likely won't - so can someone tell me what went wrong with it?

Here were my issues with the purge

1) the way they dehumanize people, and try to make it seem that it is ok. When watching it, my friends got upset that the one kid wanted to save one guy from getting killed, and so did most of the crowd in the theater. I mean, do you have no sympathy? We should be able to feel, and help. The movie pushes an anti version of that, which makes it dehumanizing.

2) The fighting scenes were lackluster. The only good thing was the guy's creepy face, but overall it just felt bland

3) The cute guy got killed early off

I just saw the movie tonight. I thought it was good, but really ****ed up.

I feel like I was the only one who actually liked it.
But I hope it's the sister getting revenge on her brother since he was the dipshit that got everything that happened in the end to happened.

I thought the movie was pretty good. Excited for the second one though.

I actually really liked this movie! It's really not much of horror but it's certainly an interesting film.

I enjoyed the movie. It could have been better... but overall I enjoyed it.

I think I'm one of the only people that really liked this film. I thought was extremely creepy and the acting was very good.

However, I do agree that the concept is amazing but wasn't executed as well as it could have. been. The film was maybe a little cliche at times.
