Nope. "WAY" flew up pop radio not long after Super Bowl exposure. It was already top ten barely a month after. Before it only lingered in the Top 50/100 due to Glee, but once it got mainstream and shot to No. 1 on iTunes, they didn't take long at all to spin it to the top.
"minxie"'s comment is a big exaggerated anyhow, "WCS" is not selling that big, especially not for someone to then come and compare it to Fun.'s sales success.
The best example would actually be Gotye's "STIUtK". It was top five on iTunes when it entered the Top 50 and slowly climbed for a couple weeks before really picking up. I think the problem is not trying to find something to compare it to and hope for similar results, however. "WCS" is just a good song for the radio, plus the video hype/shock effect can wear off on its position after the week is over.
