Janet and LA Reid: New Album in Early 2008

Janet Jackson and LA Reid attended the Los Angeles premiere of her new movie "Why Did I Get Married?" featuring Jill Scott and Tyler Perry. Entertainment Tonight has a short interview with Janet from the red carpet of last night's Los Angeles premiere of "Why Did I Get Married?" available to stream on their website. (www.etonline.com)

In the clip, Janet and L.A. Reid, who came with Janet as her escort for the evening, both hesitantly confirmed that her new album should be released "at the top of the year."

This was Janet's first public appearance with Reid, whose Island Def Jam record label she signed with earlier this summer.

^debuting at #2 in this day and age means nothing. She debuted with 300k and was only able to double that during her entire run on the charts. none of the singles were hits and 2 million copies of the album were shipped worldwide before its release but it only managed to sell 1 million in total. now that's what i call an expensive mistake, or in other words, A FLOP! haha, My December debuted at #2 right? and everyone is calling it a flop...well at least it sold more than 20 Y.O.

after 16 years (1986 to 2002) of success she can die happy even if she releases only flops until the end of her life.

very few artist of today's world will have that same amount of success in their whole life.

I kinda thought Janet could take a hint from the giant slap in the face that 20 Y.O was, and just retire happily.

She can do it.

MR. HOLLYWOOD YOU ARE SO RUDE, DAMN I HOPE JANET'S ALBUM IS HUGE, THEN YOU WILL LOOK LIKE A DAMN FOOL.

But what I said was true, wasen't it? The album was a painful flop, as were all of the singles. I would take that as a sign that 'hey maybe I'm not really popular anymore, I'll just go live a life a luxury.'

CALL ON ME WAS NOT A FLOP MAKING TOP 40 WAS DAMN GOOD.
