Depends if its from the Resort/Pre-Fall collections or Ready To Wear or Haute Couture
Resort is mostly what is sold at the stores like Neiman Marcus/Bergdorf Goodman with some of the Ready To Wear pieces that they think will go and the accessories. These can go from say $500 to about $10K depending on the piece. A simple silk blouse can be in the hundreds but a gown with a bit of embelishmenr around 5K-10K. For Beyonce her 2009 VMA mini dress was just a couple thousand by Roberto Cavalli.
Mostly the best Ready To Wear will be at the at the Flagship stores along with the accessories like bags and shoes. This will be around 10K to 100K at the most. 10K for a sharp suit and going up depending on the fabric, technique, the embellishment and so on.
This Versace dress was about 18K and it was Ready To Wear, she could have just grabbed it from the rack and thrown it on and left.
But this silver Dolce and Gabbana gown was about 120K and the gold Balenciaga leggings about 100K, they were both listed as "Ready To Wear" but were still fitted for her once and were shown toward the end of the designers shows and were centerpieces for their respective collections.
Finally Haute Couture will be sold at the atelier of the designer and be custom fit or remade all over for a customer and take up to 3 fittings, these can go for well over 100K till who knows how much depending on the work since it's all hand made by the seamstresses that work for the designers. They are usually custom made pieces and one of a kind and their exclusivity, detail/technique and custom fit is what makes them so expensive. Designers do have a showing for their Haute Couture but they always alter it for the customer, very few celebs can get Haute Couture or they might get a special one of a kind piece. It's usually Royalty or undisclosed billionaires who will buy complete collections and if a designer gives the dress to a celeb, he really can't sell it again to someone else since that piece was already seen in oublic.
Like this Armani Prive dress made of chains was custom made for Beyonce, it wasn't shown on any of his collections and just appeared on Beyonce and no one else.
But this Givenchy gown for Bey, it was shown on the presentation like this
But made black and with a longer train for her and for her measurements. This can go for a couple hundred thousands if purchased, but most likely he made it for free due to the amount of publicity she gave to the Givenchy brand during the event, Now you see all these people saying "Givenchy this, Givenchy that" but can't afford the dress just the small pieces like simple tshirts, the perfumes and make up which is ultimately what gives a big house most of their profits.
Though at the same time Beyonce is not afraid to drop some serious money on her clothes, she pays a handy amount of money for her clothes, she gave Thierry Mugler a hefty million so he can design and lend clothes for her Sasha Fierce tour, bought 2 of the last 16 pieces Alexander McQueen made (They were never mass produced, just those 16) and the pieces she bought were nowhere to be seen at his exhibition at the Met Gala in 2011. Jay has also bought her a whole Chanel collection for their wedding anniversary and she dropped some serious cash on more than 20 Elie Saab gowns to wear during her Dreamgirls Promo run and award show season in 2007. Hope this helps.
