A hairy fashion accessory reportedly sold in China is said to be an unconventional tool to help ward off unwanted attention.

"Super sexy, summertime anti-pervert full-leg-of-hair stockings, essential for all young girls going out," HappyZhangJiang posted on Sina Weibo, China's Twitter-like microblogging site.


The picture of what appears to be a woman wearing said hairy stockings has since gone viral, but it is unclear where exactly one can purchase the leggings.
Shanghai-based blog ChinaSMACK offered a series of other Sina Weibo posts about the tights, and one user said that emulating Sasquatch could have its drawbacks.

I don't see how this will solve anything. You have freaks that will screw anything and in other cultures women being hairy is considered natural to men.

And the sadder part is that this won't even help. It doesn't matter if you're hairy, fat, bald and just all-around ugly, you will get sexually harassed as long as you're a female. I've been harassed while wearing baggy jeans, sneakers and a hoodie with my hair looking a mess. It's definitely got nothing to do with attraction, guys do this on purpose to humiliate women.

While I do think sexual harassment is wrong, let's not paint all women to be a flock of sheep and men to be wolves willing to attack any female.
