I'm sorry, but, objectively, this is still wrong. Sony has Quantic Dream, Naughty Dog, Sony Santa Monica, and a host of exclusive studios that will make Microsoft's exclusives weep when it's all said and done. And as for the entertainment features, sure, the Xbox One has the TV functionality, but if you don't have cable, then it's all for naught. And you can access apps like Netflix without PS+, whereas those apps still remain behind the XBL paywall. And there's also the fact that Xbox One still comes with mandatory Kinect and is still $100 more expensive because of it. There's still NO guarantee that Kinect 2.0 works in a smaller room, which would leave me **** out of luck if it doesn't.

I mean, it's fantastic that they finally pulled their head out of their ass and LISTENED to the gaming community, and this is only a good thing, but there are still aspects in this war that have me leaning toward Sony. This only makes it more likely that I'll buy an Xbox One within a year, as opposed to years down the line.

Nice that Microsoft finally understands the implications of the policies that they were trying to force to the consumers.

But I gotta laugh though, they talked in a recent interview about how PS4 isn't a "threat" for the X1 (seriously, so arrogant), and then they change their plans right after the massive ownage from Sony. Gotta think those pre-orders haven't been so good.

Console battle aside, I'm glad they caved. This is a victory for every gamer.

It's a little too late for them to win me back at the moment. I will be getting my PS4 launch day. I can see myself buying the One later in a year or so since they've changed everything I hated. Glad they took their heads out of their asses.

Also, PS4 doesn't spy on you 24/7 when you have an internet connection (unless I missed something)

The Xbox 180 fans that STAYED trying to defend the forced internet connectivity only to have Microsoft completely reverse their decision.

This has got to be one of the most embarrassing mistakes any company in history has ever made and will go down in the history books for Microsoft.

However, it was the best thing they could do in their situation. If they stayed arrogant and clung to the original idea, they simply would not exist as a gaming threat anymore. So you Xbox 180 fans better thank Sony for this. Microsoft would have ceased to exist as a major threat.

I will buy an XBOX One now only after the PS4 maybe the year after 2014.
Sony forced MS to change their plans but this makes me wonder if this will push back release of the One.
And MS does not have the better exclusives they still dick ride Halo and Gears of War instead of getting more exclusives.
