I forget sometimes that Lay It Down was recorded in 2012. It was a huge improvement, but the song really isn't that great, it was forgettable, and her verse had nothing on Cory.

It's hilarious, because when I found out Cory was going to be featured also I assumed he would be useless. But he's the ONLY verse I use from that song.

So tell me why it took Ciara to bring out that side we haven't seen in a while from Onika.

If I'm Out and Livin' It Up end up being her two best verses.

That verse was appropriate for that type of song though. Her LID verse lacked a lot of effort.

The first few lines of the verse already has me in awe.

TIGOY was cute. I liked her vocals as well. It was not worse than Lay It Down.

I'm sorry, but Ciara's album sounds SO boring. Not a single uptempo or ballad, they're all midtempos! Nicki's the only good thing about it. Her Living It Up verse sounds amazing as well!

Edit: Overdose is kind of catchy too.

Looking at your faves, you not liking the pop side of RR, not liking the best album this summer, and thinking Lay it Down is her best verse.

Livin' It Up verse sounds amazing. But the song as a whole sounds amazing too. Which is a plus for Ciara.

I do like the pop half of RR though. Everyone knows I STAN for Pound The Alarm and Starships. And Where Them Girls At is one of my favorite songs of all time. I just don't like the songs where she only sings.

Also, Yeezus is the best album of the summer.
