The video starts out with a teary eyed Selena walking out of house on her phone. When she's outside, she hangs the phone up, looking very distraught. As if she could barely move. She kinds of stumbles on her heels to a car. The next seen is her pulling up too a diner the next morning. We see her at a table seemingly gathering her thoughts. The young woman (looks around Selena's age) who works at the diner offers her a cup of coffee and gives her a look that says "why so upset?". Selena opens her mouth to say something but nothing comes out. Right before the waitress gets off of her shift, she rights her phone number along with a message down on a napkin and hands it too Selena. "You don't seem like you're from around here. If you ever need a friend or some cheering up, give me a call - Maggie" the note read. The woman hands it too Selena and gives her an "I hope you feel better smile". The next scene shows Selena in a motel room wiping off all of makeup. She looks for something in her purse, and comes across the note Maggie gave her. She examines it for a little bit and has a look on her face that reads "Well, guess I'm really about to do this". The next scene shows Selena pulling up too a bar. She walks in and sees Maggie with a group of friends. The music starts as Maggie and her friends welcome Selena. " The next few scenes show Selena becoming good friends with the girls. Selena's seen dancing in clubs, watching chick flicks, eating breakfast on a balcony, doing karaoke and walking down a city street among other things. You can tell Selena is having the time of her life. The second to last scene is a quick montage of Selena's time with the girls and her hugging Maggie strongly before wiping a tear away and driving off. The last scene shows Selena pulling up in front of the house we saw in the first scene, she looks at the house, smiles and turns the car off.
