Because Avril Lavigne has been making the same type of music for the past decade with nothing new or even trying to get away from her comfort zone, while Christina Aguilera and Nelly are constantly changing and changing up their sound.

Of course the song basically a mix of Taylor and Rihanna would be doing decent. She had to slash the price to less than a McDonald's ice cream cone to even get where she is on iTunes. I see you keep failing to mention that when celebrating how it has grown on that chart, it's even a month long apparently?

L.A. sees she is bombing as hard as the other flops, I'll be surprised her album comes out on time. He already gave it a huge window just to see if this song will do anything.

Avril always has steady Promo. Xtina did at the beginning of Lotus but then both her label and herself lost interest when they wasn't seeing the numbers they was expecting.

Then there's promoting like crazy, getting your song added to major radio stations like Z100, being rejected by streaming audiences, being forced to do radio shows a decade in your career for airplay as not even a headliner, and slashing your single to 69 cents, and still flopping

I actually haven't think about it. It's kinda true. It may be the loyal fanbase, can't think of anything else. She's not selling like Beyoncé tho, 4 sold almost 3 million while GL sold about 1.5.

Compared to the main girls shes a flop, no shade.

But the advantages that Bey and Brit have are media presence which Avril always lacked.
