Most people don't even see someone's image when listening to music. If the girls would focus more on making better music for people to LISTEN to, than worry about what their LOOK will be like, then they might be slaying again right now and not constantly delaying their albums or underperforming on the charts.

And yes I shaded a few of my favs with that statement.

I'm pressed, not because they're male, but 60% of the songs in the top ten are trash.
It's almost as bad as when One More Night was number one forever.

Blurred Lines -
Can't Hold Us - Alright, but I don't think it deserved to go number one.
Get Lucky - Another mediocre track.
Mirrors -
Cruise - I took a listen and my ears started bleeding.
Radioactive - Imagine Dragons has much better material.
Just Give Me A Reason - Not bad. Not great, either.
Come And Get It - The only thing is song is good for is singing at the top of your lungs during karaoke. Horribly generic.
The Way - I love Ariana's vocals.
I Love It - One juggernaut of a pop song.

At the end of the day though, just because a song is doing well on the Hot 100 doesn't mean it's forcing me to listen to it,
so I'm fine. I just avoid Top 40 radio for a month.

Blurred Lines and Cant Hold Us are trash though it has nothing to do with gender

I've probably said this before, but I think the charts have gotten a LOT better since 2010. I mean, gender issues aside, there's so much more diversity now than there was then. Here's an example of what the Top 10 was like three years ago:

6. Taio Cruz ft. Ludacris, 'Break Your Heart' - R&B/ dance pop
7. Lady Gaga, 'Alejandro' - Dance pop with Europop influences
8. B.o.B. ft. Bruno Mars, 'Nothin' on You' - Hip hop/ pop
9. Black Eyed Peas, 'Rock That Body' - Electronic/ hip hop
10. La Roux, 'Bulletproof' - Synthpop

Now, let's compare that to today:

I only care for Get Lucky out of those 6, but it's not because they're male, I just dislike the songs.

No. This is a horrible Top 10 but these are the songs I dislike from it:

Get Lucky
Mirrors
Cruise - I like the original but the remix
Come And Get It
The Way
I Love It

Also Can't Hold Us is only decent and JGMAR is one of Pink's weaker singles.

So it's obviously not a gender thing. The majority of the songs are just bad.

Personally, I like the diversity of the charts now. Male or female doesn't matter.

ATRL as a whole is pressed, but not as pressed as last year.

No one cares for the Hot 100/Radio songs or any chart position anymore. If you do then you have serious problems

Why don't we care about the Hot 100? I'm lost, is that some rationalization for a flop? I still follow it.

I like 3 of those songs, the others are in fact just bad.
