I have studied in the US for three years and i have noticed how big of difference between this age of America and 100 years ago.

I kind of said that the golden age of America was in the 19th century



because America was intended to be the country of immigrants that it is and how much people outside of America strive to be an American citizen.

i think the last days of that golden era was the 50's/60's



I'm not being racist here, but this solid land was built by whites and blacks together even though after the slave issue. I think the country would be better if it was the country of those who built it because having mixed races and religion is whats creating this new age of constance issues being discovered like Gay marriage, religion and stereotypes .

I think that's ridiculous, it's no one's land; anyone should be able to move in and out of it. Mixed 'races' and religions have nothing to do with stupidity. I also think claims like these is what perpetuates the idea of white supremacy. We need not say ridiculous things like this.

I'm sorry, but that sounds RIDICULOUS. There are so many more things that go into that than just 'race.' Colonization being one of the bigger ones. If we were to follow that thought system, then people who aren't white or African-American wouldn't be allowed into the country? Say a white and black couple, what happens to that baby? He or she will have a double-consciousness, meaning that they won't actually be fully African-American, nor will they be white; how do you suggest we go about that?

No. That's a bad idea because then you get Tyranny of the Majority and other political issues. The country like many other former colonies in the Americas were built culturally on the diversity of other nations. To say the US should be only for the whites and blacks is bad real bad. Like I mentioned before blacks are a minority whites are the majority. What do you think will happen if you magnified that scenerio like the one you're asking?

And fyi the golden age was not in the 19 century that time was filled with turmoil, and uncertainty. If anything the real one was the 90s or the 50s.
