to answer the question obviously Jai Ho was way bigger and was actually a global hit as well. CAGI has made no impact whatsoever even though it's selena's biggest hit

"Come and Get It" is more arabic influenced (tribal arabic from north africa = sahara) than indian to me ...

Baby Boy is arabic influenced, egyptian/lebanese influence to be more precise (go check "Why wait" by Shakira, it's the same sound)

The same goes for Buttons, its arabic/turkish influenced.
(go check "Wait For You" by Furtado, which is complete turkish sound)

Anyway the only indian sound to me is Jai Ho.

For people who doesn't see the difference, go listen to "Bombay" by Timbaland, THAT'S indian sound. (or more recently 'Don't Hold The Wall".)

I don't know specifically where in Asia, but there were a lot of songs in 2003-2007 time that were asian-influenced, like

50 Cent - Candy Shop
Black Eyed Peas - Don't Phunk With My Heart
Beyonce/Sharkia - Beautiful Liar

There were honestly loads more at the time, it was a bit of a trend. There were quite a few that got into plagiarism controversies too, due to sampling "unknown" asian songs without crediting them.

The hits back then.. Good times.
