Don't get us wrong, we love KP's ability to commit to a theme (see: every performance outfit ever), but that just makes those moments when she gives us "Subtle Katy" that much sweeter.
Katy's Rodarte-outfitted cover certainly shows a leap in maturity of sorts...Congratulations, Katy! Better whip out that Dolce & Gabbana crown from the Met Gala, girl -- you've earned it.
I wonder how Katy's new material will sound. TD's sound is very stale-sounding by now and similar sounding material isn't doing well on the radio right now.

We don't really know the direction of the album though. I second h.u.r.r.i.c.a.n.e's thoughts.
We can make an educated guess based on her working with Dr Luke and co, but I hope she's doing something different with them that goes beyond their usual output.
