I'm excited for the daily updates but at the same time I think it killed a little bit of the surprise, like when I finally got Brawl there wasn't anything I didn't already know about

Can you imagine if they didn't reveal anyone or anything? That would make the first experience with the game so much more exciting.

After the big reveal of Super Smash Bros. on Tuesday, everyone has basically been losing their minds. Memes are running rampant, character hypotheses are a blaze, and Villager’s cold and evil nature is a thing. So here is some news thats slowly been coming out about the game:

No Cross Platform Gaming

Mr. Sakurai has revealed that we will indeed not be playing the 3DS and Wii U versions inter-connectively Apparently the stages will be different in each game so it won’t be possible. BOO. But, apparently you will be able to customize your characters! Nothing has been said about what that entails, but I hope its cool!

Not A Ton Of Third Party Characters Added

Mr. Sakurai also told Kotaku that the whole third party character trend will not be that big in the games. You all need to calm down and be happy Mega Man is in here. Way better than Sonic…

He also revealed that that due to limitations on the 3DS, some characters in the game have to be modified or “reduced”. But no worries, if you have a Wii U, you’re fine because the roster is the same and you’ll be able to see the characters at their max strength. Smart marketing strategy. I see you, Nintendo.

No Touch Screen Controls

IGN sat down with Mr. Sakurai and discussed controls. Sakurai indicated that there could be an advantage for some players using a touch screen, so its been eliminated to even out the odds. Which to me, seems kind of silly on a 3DS since everyone will have a touchscreen, but then again I am not a multi-million dollar game designer.

As long as the Wii U version has off screen play I'm good.

Yeah, Sakurai said for a while that he wouldn't have a lot of 3rd party characters as it would ruin the mystique (?) of it all. So I'm only really expecting like maybe Sonic and thats it

I'd be okay if Sonic didn't return, though it would be cool to see Mario, Sonic and Mega Man all in one game. IF they decide he won't return I hope he's replaced by a character just as iconic.

All I know is that Queen Zelda betta be on this game.

Most characters will probably return The only ones i see being potentially cut is Lucas, Falco/Wolf, Lucario, ROB, Toon Link, snake.

Lucas deserves to stay.

G&W is the most unique character in the game and his moves are very solid. He was also featured in the new Donkey Kong game, so he's most likely returning, and you will deal.

Lucario can leave and be replaced by Mewtwo.

Lucario has GOT to go.

I loved Lucario and Mewtwo but unfortunately they're gonna change it to another pokemon again, probably Zororark. I'll just have to get used to it Lucario was my best character besides Samus

I didn't like Colette either. The one I did truly hate was Shirley. Im here fore Sheena, Chloe, or Anise. They be my faves.

And they also have yet to add Sora. The Keyblade Master would be the best character in this history of SSB tbh.

They better not get rid of Sheik. Ill be pissed. Shes the only character I can constantly use. If they do Ill have to use that stupid ass Wii Fit Trainer. Im into the agile characters.

God. These new characters. Suuuuck.

Lucas and Toon Link need to stay. They were actually my top two in Brawl.
