No, people hate Lightning cause she is a boring character has nothing to do with her being a strong woman. She is much better in Dissidia 012 though and it was nice to see a strong female leader.
She was poorly written in XIII, for the most part she came off as an angry woman who just hits things instead of them pointing out why she had anger towards Snow and herself.
I wouldn't mind seeing her in KH3 though its not like she is the star of the game.
I am excited about this and will get a PS4.
