no, not really. album sales were strong until 2005 when the iTunes phenomenon took over. In fact, 2004 holds the record for the year with the most albums sold but in these 3 short years album sales have plummeted over 32% from then. I'm sure that when iTunes was created, labels were trying to be fair to consumers by compromising so that people could buy the singles they liked instead of downloading them for free but that came at the expense of album sales.
