We begin our rate with an album track from Kana Nishino's album Love Place. There isn't much to be said about this track. The album went on to peak at #2 on the Oricon chart and has sold almost 350,000 copies to date.
Perhaps one of the biggest J-Pop songs of 2012, Only You is an album track from Namie's highly successful album Uncontrolled. Unfortunately, the track fails to replicate it's success with the Japanese public with the J-Pop listeners of ATRL. The song was highly successful hitting #1 on the digital charts for many days.
NaNaNa is a promotional track from Ayumi Hamasaki's 2012 studio album Party Queen. The song was hated by many for Ayu's inclusion of her *** hag Timmy. His voice seemed to ruin this track for many and perhaps this is why the track is Hamasaki's lowest entry on the rate. The album received a lot of publicity for failing to reach the #1 spot unlike her peers Koda Kumi and Namie Amuro. The album has failed to sell 150,000 copies and begins the true decline of Hamasaki's career. The album was her lowest selling album until Love Again in 2013 barely sold 90,000 copies.
GO FOR IT!! was is a single off Love Place released last year. It was a hit with the Japanese people but clearly y'all weren't here for it. I'm not going to bother writing anything about the next two songs as it would be a waste of time.
