The NY skyline maybe more well known but the LA skyline is very distinct due to its compactness.

Nobody uses LA's skyline outside of LA. Whereas people can imagine and tell you lots of specific details about NYC. It's not even close.

I voted Los anglese cause that's my hometown but there isn't nothing special about it IMO!

The NYC skyline is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. Especially at night.

If we're talking about iconic skylines, NYC is the only answer.
