8,700 pop fanatics voted, and Kelly Clarkson has come out at No1 on the AMAZEPOP Best Popstars In The World poll.
The 150-strong longlist was condensed into a Top 50 as voters were asked to pick between 1 and 15 acts to support. P!nk polled second, ahead of Taylor Swift in third. Adam Lambert is the top male in fifth place, behind Demi Lovato in fourth. The two highest-placed British stars were Adele (No6) and Ed Sheeran (No9).
All five One Direction members made the Top 50, with Zayn Malik the highest at No18. Surprising absentees included Nicole Scherzinger (No59) and Rita Ora (No70). Chris Brown was the only name in the 150-strong longlist to receive absolutely no votes.
