What a legend. 2 career grand slams, one of them golden. Hasn't lost a single match on clay this year, hasn't lost a single match to date since getting back to #1. After all the problems she's had at this tournament in previous years, after losing in the first round last year, she came back and won it once again. I always thought winning a second RG title would be the toughest test in her career, and she did it.
Sharapova did well to make it more competitive than usual. Serena wasn't near her best but Sharapova was in the match from start to finish to give her credit. The way she saved a lot of the break points she faced, especially at the start of both sets, was impressive.
