How'd you know Katy contacted Zedd? Zedd's a producer, it's his job to try to sell his music to artists, he coulda just as easily been the one to contact Katy.
Of course I know what ARTPOP is going to sound like, Lady Gaga is a popstar and thus is fairly predictable. It'll be mainly dance pop with urban elements throughout with perhaps the occasional stadium rock ballad thrown in, unless she wants to alienate her fanbase by completely switching genres on them, but she's not stupid so she wont do that. Though if for some reason she's planning on making ARTPOP a pop-rock album I'd be more than happy for Katy to copy her.
Katy also always gets the best material out of her producers?

Even if this is true Katy will probably take one song from him, and make it a masterpiece since she's much more involved in it than some people think. It seems Gaga took the finished material. Can't wait for Katy's epic comeback.

Gaga is nowhere near predictable  None of her albums are much alike and Born This Way is really diverse as well. She IS coming with new sounds, I mean, Cake Like Lady Gaga and Stache are nothing like her other work and ARTPOP won't be either...
Katy does get decent material most of the time, but sometimes it's a rehash of material that already exists, such as California Gurls. The news about her upcoming album is promising though and I hope she slays as well, it's good when there's a competition between the girls

Oh and Gaga doesn't get a rehash of old music? A la Bad Romance 2.0 and Express Yourself 2.0.

@jeff1317 maybe he reserved his good tracks for his solo project or Gaga's. it's kinda obvious since he actually co-produced with Gaga
But Jeff said Jeff co-produced the songs with Gaga, but he didn't say the same for Katy.

Cake Like Lady Gaga, yes but Stache isn't even GaGa's song

She isn't as diverse as they think. Just Dance 1.0 , Bad Romance/ Just Dance 2.0/ ,and Judas/ Bad Romance/ Just Dance 3.0
