So what are the factors in order to have longevity in a career?

I have noticed that Adele seems to have some great longevity thus far in her career as the album 21 is still on the chart in 15 countries after more than 2 years after its release. Adele is also at #7 on the Global Itunes Ranking Chart and she's been holding steady for an extremely long time as well. Adele's songs are also still going fairly strong with SLY at #45, RITD at #51, and SFFTR at #72.

On the other Lady Gaga's BTW seems to have fallen off the charts as she is at #211 on the Global Itunes Ranking Chart with no songs in the top 250. Also many other artists have released albums for them to disappear within weeks as well.

So what makes an artist have longevity? What are the key ingredients to having longevity?

Knowing your strengths and playing up to them. Adele did this. Also not annoying people is a big thing. Just being nice and humble works too. Also not drastically changing your style too. Just evolving.

Let's not get carried away. 21 had great longevity. Adele has only release two albums. Anything can happen to her next album, although I do see her having success.

And I've met bread that can come up with smarter Gaga shade.
