People Like Us, a song that is basically radio candy, has been out for over a month now, had an American Idol performance, and even a music video release last week--yet despite all of this the song has been struggling to pick up any kind of steam. The song received negative updates on radio today and has been falling like a rock on iTunes all day.
I tweeted about this yesterday, I don't think it is as catchy as Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You) and it lacks something (I'm still trying to figure it out).
This is one of the songs that will be easily overlooked due to a lack of a strong hook and the abrupt radio edit ending doesn't help it be any less anti-climactic.
Like her previous 3rd single, Dark Side, PLU will flop (but not as much).
