Basically. And the consumption of meat is more damaging to society than wearing fur could ever be imo. I think it's already been established that your views on this are hypocritical in the extreme so why keep digging that hole? You're an animal lover who eats them and justifies that by stating that you have to eat them to survive. Err, wrong. You claim, bizarrely, that you 'want' to be a vegetarian but you don't seem to have made that change happen yet. Why not?

Overall we are able to live without meat today but you have to be realistic. Not everyone is going to become a vegetarian so they will need some meat to continue living. LMFAO. These are all really really lame excuses, especially given your stated disgust for animal cruelty. If you REALLY felt as strongly as you claim, you would simply tell your mother that you were no longer going to eat meat (my nephew did EXACTLY that a few years ago and he and his mother still happily live in the same house). Embarrassing. Admit it, you like the taste of meat but feel guilty about eating it but not enough to actually stop (at least I'm not hypocritical in this regard as this is my feeling as a meat eater).

Also it's not like these animals wouldn't get killed for these jackets if she chose not to wear it... that's just the sad truth, it'll go on no matter what you guys do/say.
It's been like this for years now and people are still complaining about it yet don't make any progress of stopping it, it's silly tbh.
I'm def. not a supporter of the whole process to get a fur jacket made but I'm also not one to criticize it once it's done, it's a part of the fashion industry that just won't die.
You just need to learn to accept it, especially when you eat meat.

For a we know, she could be wearing faux fur. I'm personally against real fur but I can't say anything since I eat meat.
