Karl Lagerfeld Thinks Calling Adele ‘A Little Too Fat’ Sent a Good Message
Oh, Karl.
That’s really all we have to say after watching the promo clips for Alina Cho’s upcoming “Fashion Week: Backstage Pass".
Cho also brings up a couple of public figures Lagerfeld has professed to being less fond of including Adele, whom he said was “a little too fat.”
“Adele…?” Cho asks hesitantly, making a hilarious cringey face. “Adele is another problem,” Lagerfeld begins. Oh brother.
“I never said that she was fat, I said that she was a little roundish; a little roundish is not fat,” he continues as Cho laughs awkwardly. Oh and there’s more: “But for such a beautiful girl, after that she lost eight kilo so I think the message was not that bad.”
Yep, given a prime opportunity to clear up some of his cruelest past remarks, the best he can do is to call Adele “a little roundish?”
I think people got butt hurt over his comments for no reason. He used to be fat himself and was just being honest and thinking what a lot of people were.
And if Adele didn't give a **** about his comment (or any fat comments in general), she wouldn't have lost weight. She was obviously insecure to a certain extent.
