When I first entered here I had my problems figuring out the meaning of words like tea or clocking but I have to admit that it's funny using it, gay or not

Reminds me of 'Polari', which was like a secret language of slang used by gays (and others) on the DL back in 19th century London.

The gay-lingo here can be funny when used properly and not just chucked about aimlessly to try and fit in or shoehorn in sass, but it's not something I'd use (beyond the odd 'shade' etc).

Jonathan Ross actually said "shade" to Zachary Quinto on his show the other week.

It's not Gay or LBGT slang it's Ballroom lingo. Period.

There's always new words because we're always making new words and then it filters to the hairdressers then to black women and then every one wants to sound like us because we are visionaries.
