If they were friendly enough with the Swifts to be invited over for dinner, I think they'd probably have heard the song.
Someone should make a collage of all of the tabloid covers Taylor's relationships have been on throughout the years and caption it with Her description of "Mary's Song" as being about the opposite of a tabloid romance that quickly falls to pieces.
