Why? She's a cross between black and white, got curves, yet not too much blackness to be slagged off by the media, has the exotic appeal and also is a very good singer. She does little to offend. Also the media and industry don't like more than one black female having shine at one time. See Aretha, then Whit, then Janet, followed by TLC/DC and then Bey, then Rih. See the trend?

Also she's great at her job, but has yet to musically cement herself in pop culture with an ALBUM.

She's underrated if anything. 4 is her best work imo. ATRL doesn't like it cause all they care about are radio hits, and 4 just doesn't have that type of music. And then y'all say she flops, when she's really the biggest shee ever been in her career.

She's not. Beyonce deserves all the praise she gets. She's talented and a hard worker.

This is a pop music forum, and whether your like her music or not, Beyonce has it all. Powerhouse vocals live and in the studio, athletic performing chops, a critically acclaimed discography and several iconic, memorable hits. Additionally, her reputation as a sophisticated, beautiful, and immensely talented class-act and workaholic that gives her all to her fans, while managing to keep a lot of her personal life to herself (only revealing what she wants us to see), has earned her a huge level of respect in the industry and beyond.

So no, I think she's rated quite appropriately.

She's an overrated performer and her artistry is questionable. I will never get her hype at all. I loved 4 but I can't say it to her other albums. B'day is *alright but it's no master piece. It's probably her being a performer.
