Rapper Nicki Minaj followed Mariah Carey's lead on Thursday afternoon, tweeting, "Thank you American Idol for a life changing experience! Wouldn't trade it for the world! Time to focus on the Music!!! Mmmuuuaahhh!!!"

Randy Jackson had previously announced his exit from the show, leaving only Keith Urban who has yet to confirm whether he'll be participating in season 13 of the Fox show.

Good for her, but I actually enjoyed her as a judge. Glad she's getting back to the music though.

Despite the stupid feud, she was one of the better judges the show has had. That's fine though, she has an actual career to get back to anyway.

I think the next season should be The Final Season and they should do it big: advertise it as American Idol The Final Season and return to a 3-judge panel of only Idol alumni: Jennifer Hudson, Chris Daughtry, Carrie Underwood/Kelly Clarkson (one of those two for the last seat). They have the bucks to be paying out salaries to Mariah, J. Lo, and Nicki so they sure as hell can get their own alumni (who are more attainable anyway) to come back for a proper series finale.

Time to get Cheryl Cole or Kylie Minogue.

Next season should be its last.
