Obviously artists like Madonna and Gaga have done a lot to help advance their rights and also raise attitudes and pride towards themselves. But I honestly think artists like Frank Ocean and those that supported him (Jay-Z, Kanye, etc.) have helped in eradicating stereotypes and changed general attitudes towards gays, especially in a traditionally homophobic industry. Macklemore is helping in that respect too, I guess.
